tdy's the 2nd last day of outfield ex. everything's per normal. long journey ride to new deployment sites. screwed up weather, as usual. fucked up food. found out tt Thai drivers here don't earn alot, I guess tt explains their low cost of living too. Danai, my driver, is 35 and he earns SG$400 a mth. annd he was saying how bad his English is despite having an English teacher for a gf. haha. the reason why i'm making an entry now on this bumpy car ride is cuz sth happened which I feel lis worth recollecting. on the way to our next deployment ground, we passed countless plantations. a long and insipid ride. dozed off which i'm nt supposed to since i'm the v comm. was woken up by danai who passed me three packets of biscuits which he would normally save up for his supper. khop khun krap, tinking it was a treat from him but it turned out that he actually wanted me to pass the biscuits to a local Thai boy standing alone just next to the main road. the little boy thanked us immediately. could see the delight in his eyes. even though the biscuits looked plain and ordinary and most singaporeans like me would not have appreciated. important lesson. char kway teow and carrot cake in hawker centre considered fucking gd lo! no more ex meals every wk. italian, jap, korean cuisine? no...
